Huone room escape’s terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the bookings made through the Huone escape rooms' (Lukittu huone Oy) electronic booking system.
THE TERMS OF RESERVATION
Lukittu huone Oy (y-tunnus 3502880-4) sells through its booking system and by email escape game sessions bound to a certain time for individuals of legal age. Product prices include VAT. We reserve the right to change the prices and delivery costs.
By completing the reservation, you accept the terms below.
Booking an escape game
Booking is made online through Huone escape rooms' booking system or by email and it takes effect at the time of booking. Booking entitles you to one escape game session at the time indicated for a fee.
Booking confirmation
After a successful booking, a booking confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided at the time of booking. Sending a confirmation message requires providing a valid e-mail address when placing an order. The message contains an e-mail address where you can ask for additional information or give feedback about the reservation, and where you can cancel or change the reservation if necessary.
Customer information
All customer information is treated confidentially. The contact information requested in connection with the reservation is used to deliver the reservation or clarify any ambiguities arising in it, as well as to provide essential information about the reservation. When making reservations, you are required to familiarize yourself with and agree to the delivery conditions valid at any given time.
Possible changes and cancellation policy
You may cancel or change your booking through our booking system. Instructions can be found in the booking confirmation email you received.
If you have booked one game, any changes or cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the game starts.
If you have booked multiple games, cancellations must be made no later than one week (7 days) before the game start.
In case of a late cancellation or no-show, we reserve the right to charge a fee of 100 euros per game.
Changes in the number of players
If the number of players differs from your original booking, you do not need to inform us unless the change requires you to book an additional room or cancel one or more rooms entirely. You will be charged according to the actual number of players after the game(s). For games outside our regular booking calendar, a minimum charge applies - either 8 players or 280 euros.
Payment
Escape games are paid for on our premises in Tapiola, using a card or other payment methods listed in our price list. Please note that we do not accept cash.
If you want to pay by invoice
Companies and corporate clients can also pay by invoice. In that case, please send your invoicing details by email no later than the day of the game info@huoneescapes.fi.
Playing
The game starts punctually
The game time is 60 minutes. We allow players to enter 10 minutes before the game begins to ensure you have enough time to prepare. If the game start is delayed due to late arrivals, we may need to shorten your game time so that the next group can start on schedule.
The players must obey the rules of the game
Before each game, the gamemaster will explain the rules to all players. The gamemaster has the right to interrupt the game if the rules are not followed. If players intentionally or through excessive force break or damage any part of the game space, props, items, or gadgets, they will be responsible for covering the cost of the damage.
Play only when sober
The gamemaster has the right to cancel or interrupt the game if players arrive intoxicated or use any intoxicants during the game. In such cases, the full game fee will be charged. If you plan to celebrate with alcohol, we recommend saving the toasts until after the game.
The players are responsible for their own safety
Huone room escapes (Lukittu huone Oy) is not liable for any injuries that occur on the premises as a result of reckless or negligent behavior by players. Each participant is responsible for their own actions during the game.
Age limit
Young players at Huone room escapes must be at least 15 years old if playing without an adult. Younger children are welcome to participate when accompanied by an adult..
How many players can fit in an escape room simultaneously?
Each escape room can accommodate 2 to 8 players at the same time.
Gift Cards
You can purchase gift cards for escape room games in the gift card shop on Huone website. The gift card can be paid for by bank or credit card (Visa and Mastercard) or by MobilePay. The prices of gift cards include value-added tax.
After payment, you will receive a confirmation email about your purchase. The message contains a link from which you can print the gift card and customize it as you like. You can add any text and image you want to the gift card.
Online payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (513174) in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions.
Using Gift Cards
Gift cards can be used to pay for an escape room game at Huone Room Escape in Tapiola. If the value of the gift card does not cover the full price of the game, you can pay the remainder with a card or MobilePay.
The validity period of the gift card is indicated on the card. The gift card is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. The gift card cannot be used after it has expired.
The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash. The gift card does not function as a balance card and must be used all at once.
Right of Cancellation and Return Policy
If you are a consumer, you have the right under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act to cancel the order by notifying us no later than 14 days after the purchase of the gift card. The cancellation notice must be sent by email to info@huoneescapes.fi. When canceling, please include the code of the gift card(s). We will deactivate the gift card, after which it can no longer be used as a payment method for an escape room game.
We will refund the money you paid for your order. The refund will be made using the payment method used for the order
Problem situations
Notification in accordance with the provision added to the Finnish Consumer Protection Act 9/1/2016:
- If the disagreement regarding the sales contract cannot be resolved through negotiations between the parties, the consumer can refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi).
- Before taking the case to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must contact the magistrates' consumer advisory service (www.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi).
- With regard to trade agreements concluded online, it is also possible to use the EU's online dispute resolution forum.
